The new members include:
The new members will be joined by John Simons, president and COO of ConAgra Beef Companies in Greeley, CO, and Dwight Stiehl, president and CEO of Rose Packing Company, Inc., in Barrington, IL. Simons and Stiehl were elected to finish the three-year AMI Board of Directors terms for, respectively, Thomas Manuel, president and COO of ConAgra’s Trading and Processing Companies and William Rose, who recently retired as president of Rose Packing Company, Inc.
“These individuals bring to the Board of Directors years of industry experience and a wide perspective on the meat and poultry industry that will help AMI meet the challenges of the coming years,” said AMI President J. Patrick Boyle.
AMI represents the interests of packers and processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey products and their suppliers throughout North America. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Institute provides legislative, regulatory and public relations services, conducts scientific and economic research, offers marketing and technical assistance and sponsors education programs.
